Trinity Church has enjoyed a long history as a strong entity in the Elmira community, occupying a prominent position, both physically and spiritually, in the Downtown area.
We are share our Rector, Mother Wanda Copeland, with St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Horseheads. Holy Eucharist is celebrated at Trinity on Sundays at 9 a.m. and on the first Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m.
Trinity regularly partners with other area Episcopal churches on projects that serve our community. Our campus is currently the home of worship for the United Baptist Church. Trinity’s Sanctuary and Parish Hall are handicap accessible.
Life at Trinity tends to be very active. It takes people with diverse skills and talents to make Trinity’s mission work. There is a blending and mutual respect of all generations at Trinity. This diversity provides strength to the parish.
Worship follows the Book of Common Prayer and on occasion approved alternative liturgies. The congregation enjoys singing traditional music with organ accompaniment and more contemporary music with guitar from time to time.
If you are seeking a community of faith, we would welcome you into the life of our parish and service to our community.. Please join us in worship this Sunday or contact us.
