What’s Happening at Trinity?
Points of Inspiration Driving Trail Features Trinity Church
Hanging from the light post in front of our church is a pennant flag marking Trinity Episcopal Church as a site on the new Points of Inspiration Architectural Driving Trail. A commu-nity effort coordinated by the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, this project was designed to introduce tourists and local residents to the cultural, historic and natural highlights of Chemung, Steuben and Schuyler Counties. There are thirty-three sites along two driving trails, the Architectural (blue) Trail and the Scenic View (orange) Trail, throughout the three counties.
Elmira is featured prominently in the project brochure. In addition to Trinity, the Elmira portion of the Architectural Trail includes the Christmas House, the Arnot Art Museum, the Mark Twain Study and Cowles Hall at Elmira College, the Chemung Valley History Museum and The Park Church.
This project was officially launched at a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the Arts Council in Corning on October 24th. Father Bill represented Trinity Church at this event. It is anticipated that other trails will be added in the future.

Did you know that you could place flowers on our altar each week to recognize a special event (birthday, anniversary, graduation, family visiting, the birth of a child/grandchild, etc…) or the flowers could be placed in memory of a loved one? The cost is $40.00. Please contact the Parish Office or fill out the altar flower forms found in the back of the church. There are a few Sundays available in both November and December. Also, if you have placed the flowers on the altar you are more than welcome to take the flowers home with you after the service. Those flowers can then beautify your environment for the week.
