People"
Founded in 1833, Trinity Church enjoys a long history as a strong religious entity in the Elmira, New York community,occupying a prominent position both physically and spiritually, in the downtown area. It is a glorious thing when the voice of the living God speaks through His people who have responded to Him with faithfulness and stewardship. It is no small feat when people gather for worship and service to God in the heart of a city for 175 years.
In the past weeks the greater community of Elmira has watched in awe the restoration of our “Landmark Steeple”. To some it is just brick and mortar, but to those of us who live by the symbol that crowns this steeple, it is a beacon of our faith in Jesus who is the reason for this church, the unseen but ever present teacher, model of its members and the inspiration of its mission to the world.
